LMA: 2014-15 season set to break all records for managerial sackings

• Current total of 41 currently five shy of 2006-07 high point
• 17 Championship clubs have sacked their managers this season

The League Managers’ Association has revealed that this season is on course to break the record for the most managerial sackings, with 41 having lost their jobs since the first ball was kicked last August.

The LMA’s Quarterly Manager Statistics for the 2014-15 season (as at 31 March 2015) were released on Monday, with the report revealing that an astonishing 16 managers have been sacked in the Championship alone. That figure does not include Malky Mackay, who was relieved of his duties by Wigan last week.
